The Charis Behavioral Health Team
Your Allies in Healing
Over the course of their individual careers, each member of the Charis team has spent years serving children and families. This team believes they were serendipitously brought together because of their passion for healing and helping children across Dallas-Fort Worth. They are master’s level clinicians, executives, and people who care deeply about children. They are proud of the work they do and the work family they have become.
Dr. Mona Alvi, MD
Medical Director
Barry has been very happily married to his wife, Katrina, for 33 years. They have 3 children, one Baylor Bear and 2 Aggies (but, sadly, no Longhorns!).
Charis Behavioral Health wasn’t something Barry ever planned on, but felt called to do. At this time in Barry’s life, he felt strongly about continuing to help children and specifically those impacted by mental health struggles. Barry was introduced to Angel and Kyle by his sister Cherilyn, and they all have been like family ever since. Barry plans to have a profound and measurable impact on the mental health and well being of our youth.
If you come by and meet Barry, expect to hear a dad joke or a proverb that is just right for the day or situation. Charis is thrilled to be under his leadership and proud to carry out his vision.
