Dallas-Fort Worth Teen & Child Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP+ Treatment Program for Kids in Dallas-Fort Worth TX

Partial Hospitalization Programming offers a child the opportunity to receive effective mental health treatment in a safe environment during the day and return home in the evening. Attending programming Monday through Friday allows for the skills cultivated during the day to be implemented, in real time, with continual guidance and support from Charis’ team of multidisciplinary professionals which include therapists, psychologists and nurses with oversight by a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Help For Troubled Dallas-Fort Worth Teens & Children

Our PHP+ day program includes a minimum of 4 hours of therapy daily, two visits weekly with a psychiatrist, weekly individual therapy, and the opportunity to complete school work during program hours supervised by a certified teacher. While group therapy is the primary framework, each child also receives weekly individual counseling and family therapy. The combination of group, individual and family therapy provides the foundation for the process of uncovering and addressing the underlying issues which empowers movement towards healing. Oftentimes, PHP+ is a step down level of care for a child exiting residential treatment or inpatient hospitalization. It is also a level of care that may prevent your child’s symptoms from exacerbating to the point of needing inpatient treatment.

Our complimentary Assessment+ will provide you with a recommendation for the appropriate level of care for your child.

At Charis, we do PHP treatment differently. Plus (+) means more, expanded and increased… so our PHP+ includes more assessment, programming and therapy features than the industry standard. Therefore, there are more opportunities for hope, healing and lasting change.

Comprehensive Care

Psychological testing, blood work and a sleep evaluation allow our clinicians to create a comprehensive treatment plan that provides the best roadmap to healing.

Psychiatric Care

In conjunction with therapy services, responsible medication management is essential to effective treatment since the mind and the body of a child is still developing.

Therapeutic Programs

Charis offers a variety of experiential methods of self-expression and a program that specifically supports the entire family through the healing journey.

Education

We partner with local school districts to create an education plan that allows for a focus on mental health without disregarding the importance of education.
